About Our Communities
inSite operates seniors independent, supportive and assisted living communities throughout the province. In BC, some seniors housing options are subsidized by the provincial government; others are leased directly to the senior consumer. The government options are referred to as “funded” while the leased options are referred to as “market”. inSite operates both.
inSite Assisted Living communities feature both personal care and hospitality services. inSite supportive housing communities offer hospitality services.
Personal care services include:
- Assistance with bathing, grooming, mobilizing, dressing and other personal hygiene
- Support, assistance or administration of medications
Hospitality services include:
- Meals and dining
- Housekeeping services
- Laundry services
- 24-hour emergency response
- Social and recreational programs
Complex Care
Complex Care, or residential care, is an environment most suitable for seniors who require 24 hour professional nursing care and support. In BC, this service is appropriate for seniors with health care requirements that surpass what can be delivered in a housing environment. Significant physical frailty and/or cognitive impairment would trigger a need for Complex Care services.
inSite has begun operating Complex Care in Kelowna in Summer 2009.
